Vote 'no' on AZ Prop 100

I too was brainwashed to believe that we as a country are not spending enough on education. The problem is, no amount of money is going to fix our failing schools. We're already spending more that other countries per student, and you all know that we're dead last on the international test scores list, behind all the rest of developed nations. It's not that the students are dumb -- it's the system that is broken!

Let the government cut waste, fire underperforming teachers, and maybe give the free market a chance. Ask yourself, how come private schools spend a fraction of what the public schools spend per student, but achieve exceptional results?

Yes, it's true that some good teachers will lose their jobs. The problem is, if this tax goes into effect, many more jobs will be destroyed in the private sector. The people who will bear the brunt of the loss will be the unskilled workers: retail clerks, cashiers, waiters, janitors.

Vote 'no' on AZ Prop 100.
